Raised in the industrial town in the north
of England, my first formal art
training was between 16 - 19 years old at Huddersfield School of Art.
I then lived and worked in southern Italy for a year, followed by a year
in Dusseldorf, Germany, before returning to England at the age of 22.
I continued my artistic pursuits, while
having 4 children and then at 36
emigrated to Perth, Australia. I did various art projects, including
portrait
commissions, one-off posters, commercial graphics,
pottery & sculpture.
I have always been passionate about the
interactions and relationships
between living things, especially
people and animals. I love children
and enjoy writing and illustrating
children's books and stories.
